I’m Octavia , the woman behind One Foodie Mama.

What started with my love for food has grown into something much bigger: a space where food, experiences, people, and stories all meet at the table.

I believe food has a way of bringing us together, but it’s the stories behind the experience that make us remember it.

That’s what Meet Me at the Table is all about.

I love discovering restaurants, cafes, food events, local businesses, and experiences throughout Los Angeles and beyond. I share honest reviews and real experiences, but I’m just as interested in the people behind the places, the owners, creators, artists, entrepreneurs, and community builders who bring these experiences to life.

Because for me, it’s never just about the food.

It’s about the person who created it. The story behind the business. The atmosphere that made you want to stay a little longer. The conversation you didn’t expect to have. And the memories you take with you when you leave.

I’m a Christian woman, a mother of three, and someone who believes life is meant to be lived with purpose and intention. My faith shapes how I see the world and reminds me to slow down, be present, and appreciate the moments and connections God places in front of me.

Motherhood has taught me that some of the most meaningful experiences aren't necessarily the biggest ones. Sometimes they happen around a table, over a meal, in a conversation, or while simply making memories together.

As One Foodie Mama has grown, so has my desire to create meaningful connections beyond my own table. I’ve had the opportunity to collaborate with restaurants, brands, small businesses, creatives, and experiences that have allowed me to tell stories in new ways. I love highlighting what makes a place special, introducing people to something they may not have discovered otherwise, and helping businesses think more intentionally about the experiences they create.

Whether I’m sitting down for a meal, meeting the person behind a business, experiencing something new, or simply having a conversation, I’m always looking for the story.

Because food brings us to the table.
