BJ’s Restaurant – Cerritos CA

I hadn’t been to BJ’s in years, and I was pleasantly surprised. From the moment we walked in, the hostess (Desi) greeted us warmly, and our server (Alex) made sure every detail of our meals was perfect. The team worked seamlessly together, covering tables and checking on guests, it really shows in the service.

Food & Drinks:

I started with a Strawberry Rose Lemon Drop martini 🍸 which comes with sugar on the rim, way too much for me, but I swept that sugar to the side and got straight to the business 😝. That drink was small but mighty, imagine Kevin Hart punching like Muhammad Ali. I even had to pause to eat a fry mid-sip. 🫠

For lunch, I had the California Club with breaded chicken, paired with coleslaw and fries. The sandwich comes grilled, but I requested breaded, and they nailed it. The sandwich was massive, layered with crispy bacon, fresh avocado, tomato, and the perfectly crunchy breading complimented the coleslaw beautifully. It was worth every bite, and although I didn’t finish it, I was able to take the other half home for dinner. No need to stress about dinner when lunch has you covered. 😉

The real star of the show was the french fries. My kids and I were on our big back activity, literally stealing fries off each other’s plates, it was ridiculous, and so good. Dessert tempted me (hello, Pazooki!), but I was too full from the sandwich to indulge…next time, for sure.

The kids loved their meals too. Hope had Corn dogs with fries and Isaiah had Pizza, so it’s definitely family-friendly.

The bar was busy, thanks to March Madness, and from the looks of the happy hour menu (starts at 3 PM), it’s easy to see why it was packed. I’ll definitely be back for a happy hour without the kids.🤫

The restaurant was spotless, clean from top to bottom, and the atmosphere made it easy to enjoy a meal whether you’re there with kids or just stopping by for drinks.

Overall: BJ’s is reliable, delicious, family-friendly, and perfect for food, drinks, or a mix of both.
