Luna Bistro & Cafe-Hidden Gem Aesthetic Brunch Spot Off PCH Long Beach, CA

I had the pleasure of dining at Luna Bistro Café in Long Beach off PCH.

I came here with my friend for some much needed mommy/ girl time.

Luna Bistro is located inside a shopping center near Target, and you would never expect it to be there. It’s tucked away in the corner, making it a true hidden gem restaurant in Long Beach.

✨ First Impressions

We arrived around 2 PM right when happy hour started. There was a small wait (about 5–7 minutes). It wasn’t too busy, but there wasn’t much communication when we first walked in, so it felt a little unorganized at the start. Once we were acknowledged, everything flowed smoothly.

🎨 Atmosphere (Aesthetic Restaurant in Long Beach)

The inside is beautiful, creams and green tones, soft textures, plants, and thoughtful design details everywhere.

It honestly feels like dining inside an aesthetic art gallery-style restaurant in Long Beach.

We sat on the patio since the weather was perfect (I thrive in the sun lol), and it ended up being the best choice. The music was a whole vibe and we were definitely singing along the entire time.

Overall, the energy was great. It’s definitely one of those cute brunch spots in Long Beach with a strong vibe and aesthetic feel.

A Few Things to Know Before You Go

  • Bathrooms are small (only two stalls), so there may be a wait during busy hours

  • The bathroom lighting is much darker and feels more lounge/club-like compared to the bright dining space

  • A real candle adds ambiance but also felt a bit unexpected

Just a different contrast depending on where you are in the restaurant.

🍽️ Food (Happy Hour Review Long Beach)

We ordered from the happy hour menu:

  • Fish tacos

  • Ceviche

  • Salt & pepper wings

  • Naughty fries

  • Peach lemon drop

  • Dirty martini

Everything came out fresh and well presented, which fits the vibe of an aesthetic happy hour restaurant in Long Beach.

🌟 Standout Items

Ceviche – Light, refreshing, and perfect for a warm day. Great shrimp portion and crisp cucumbers.

Salt & Pepper Wings – Crispy with a slightly sweet glaze. Personally better without the sauce, but still good.

Fish Tacos – Very flavorful even without the spicy sauce. One of the stronger menu items.

🔥 Naughty Fries (MUST-ORDER) – The standout of the table. Cheesy, crispy, flavorful, and add

Service Experience

Service was okay but inconsistent.

  • Slight delay in communication upon arrival

  • Minimal check-ins during dining

  • No water refills

  • Nearby tables sat uncleared for a bit

Nothing that ruined the experience, but service could definitely be more attentive—especially for a patio seating area.

Coins Spent & Value

Our total came out to $73.88 for happy hour, which felt fair for the portion sizes and overall experience.

✅ Pretty Plates

✅ Good Food

✅ Dope Vibes

Luna Bistro Café actually hit all three for me.

It was aesthetically pleasing, the energy was great, and overall the vibe was just really solid. The food definitely held its own, and the space itself is beautiful and well-designed.

Service did fall a little flat during the visit, but honestly, that didn’t take away from how good the experience was overall. The vibe still carried it.

Final Foodie Thoughts

Luna Bistro Café delivers on both aesthetic and flavor. While service could use a bit more consistency, the atmosphere and food make it worth visiting.

I originally came for the decor, but I would definitely come back, especially at night to see the full vibe when everything is lit up.

Perfect for:

  • Girls brunch in Long Beach

  • Cute aesthetic date nights

  • Content creation / Instagram-worthy dining

  • Hidden gem brunch experiences near PCH

Overall, it’s a hidden gem brunch spot in Long

Beach that’s worth experiencing.
