This coffee shop is run by a husband-and-wife team inspired by Australian café culture, hence the playful name, Mate. Their menu is premium and unique, featuring signature drinks like the Wembleton, Eaton Less, and the classic London Fog.

Whether you’re studying solo or with a buddy, this spot hits the sweet spot. The barista, Pheobe, was a highlight. Her personality and top-notch customer service brought warmth and a personal touch that made the space feel inviting and welcoming. Latte art is on point, matcha is solid, and the overall minimalist-yet-chic atmosphere creates a peaceful vibe perfect for focus and reflection.

The coffee itself was perfectly balanced, just the right kick to keep me alert on a rainy day. And bonus points: the establishment is immaculate, including the bathrooms, which shows the owners truly care about their space and their guests.
