Shootz- Long Beach CA

I discovered a hidden gem in Long Beach this week, a Hawaiian spot tucked away off Atlantic and Long Beach Blvd. You can’t just drive by and stumble on it; you park, walk a little pathway, and suddenly you’re in this charming open-air courtyard with lunch tables. The vibe is casual, sunny, and just welcoming.

I knew I wanted the Kimchi Butter Chicken Sandwich with macaroni salad, and let me tell you, my taste buds were not disappointed. It’s messy, yes, but in the best possible way. If you like spice, go for the spicy version because the flavor combo will be unreal. I also grabbed a musubi, which was perfection.

If sandwiches aren’t your jam, Shoots offers plates… kimchi butter chicken, shrimp, or a half-and-half option with rice and macaroni salad. I’m already planning my next visit for the kimchi butter shrimp plate 😋 it smelled incredible and looked just as good.

For drinks, I had the Mint Peach Limeade, which was bright, refreshing, and perfectly paired with my meal. I was pleasantly surprised when the cashier offered samples of all three options before I picked…such a thoughtful touch.

Customer service here is next-level. My food was ready in no time, and the manager, David, made the experience even better. He was friendly, attentive, and full of positive energy. Add good music and a chill vibe, and it’s an absolute win.

I’ll be back, and I’ll be bringing my son next time because he’s a fried chicken sandwich aficionado, and this spot is bound to make him swoon. Shootz isn’t just food; it’s a whole experience, and I can’t recommend it enough.
