The Attic- šŸ“Long Beach (Newport & Broadway)

Monday–Friday: $4 mimosas šŸ„‚

Now THIS is how you do brunch.

I came here with a friend to talk career, content, and life but from the moment we walked up, I already knew this spot was going to be something special. It literally feels like someone turned their home into the cutest café… and I loved that immediately.

Most people were outside enjoying the patio (the weather was perfect), but of course… we went inside because we’re a little nosy šŸ˜‚ and I’m so glad we did.

Inside? An absolute vibe.

The ceilings and accent walls were covered in white florals that gave the space such a fresh, airy feel. One wall was filled with beautifully staggered photos, and even though the main dining area is on the smaller side, it never felt cramped. There’s also a smaller patio for overflow, which keeps everything flowing nicely.

The service? Friendly, attentive, and just right. Our server Jordan took great care of us, and the music selection set the tone for a really good day.

And listen… once we heard about the $4 mimosas, it was a wrap šŸ„‚

Let’s talk drinks real quick…

The mimosas? They do them right—more champagne, just a splash of juice. And if you know, you know… that’s exactly how a mimosa should be made.

Now the Peek-a-Boo… baby šŸ‘€

This is not a rush-through-it type of drink, you gotta take sips. Nice and easy šŸ˜‚ because it’ll sneak up on you real quick. Trust me, it gets the job done.

Because life is a celebration… I had both.

Now let’s get into the real reason we’re here…

The food.

One thing about The Attic, they have OPTIONS. Whether you’re in the mood for something sweet, savory, or both, they’ve got you covered.

My friend ordered the bacon, egg, and cheese served on a crispy hash brown with bacon lardons, scrambled eggs, scallions, and chives. She said it was a solid 10/10—fluffy, savory, and that crunch? Perfect.

I ordered the Up Country, and baby… listen.

Poached eggs sitting on top of a crispy Anson Mills grits cake, one was layered with a smoked pork croquette and the other topped with a jumbo shrimp, all finished with a mustard seed hollandaise.

Think twins… but not identical šŸ˜‚

It also came with a market salad (baby arugula), which balanced everything out perfectly. The dish was rich, creamy, and filling, and the freshness of the arugula kept it from feeling too heavy. That balance? Chef’s kiss.šŸ’‹

And let’s not skip over the hot sauce selection because if you know, you know. They had everything. A true hot sauce lover’s moment šŸ”„

One thing I really appreciated, you can actually see into the kitchen. It gives that ā€œat homeā€ feeling, like someone’s cooking for you, not just serving you. It adds to the whole experience.

Speaking of experience…there’s also a private Chef’s Room you can reserve (up to 8 people). It’s perfect for small birthday dinners, brunches, or even intimate business meetings. Shoutout to Gabo for letting us check it out!

Overall, even though it was busy, it never felt overwhelming. My friend and I had the perfect cozy corner by the window that made for a great view, great conversation, and great energy.

And I loved that guests waiting for a table could sit out on the porch. It really felt like you were just hanging out at home… lemonade on the porch type vibes.

šŸ’› Final thoughts:

Good food.

Pretty plates.

Dope atmosphere.

A space that feels warm, inviting, and hard to leave. I’ll definitely be back because I’d love to experience this on a summer night.

If you’re looking for a spot that gives pretty plates, good food, and dope vibes…

This is it.

Tell me where I should go next, I’m ready to check it out and share the experience with you! šŸ‘€
