EggBred - Tustin CA, Simple Ingredients, Incredible Flavor

Some restaurants stay on your "must-try" list for months, and EggBred OC was one of those places for me. After finally stopping by, I can confidently say it was worth the wait.

I visited on a Saturday around lunchtime. While the restaurant wasn't overly crowded, there was a steady flow of customers picking up orders, which tells me this spot has built a loyal following. Inside, the space is bright, cozy, and full of personality with colorful walls and fun artwork that immediately create a welcoming atmosphere.

I ordered the Plain Jane breakfast burrito, a meatless option that completely exceeded my expectations. As someone who's intentionally cutting back on meat, I appreciated having a vegetarian choice that didn't feel like it was missing anything. The eggs were light and fluffy, the cheese was perfectly melted, and the potatoes were beautifully seasoned with a golden-brown exterior that almost resembled chicken. I actually found myself double checking to make sure my burrito was meatless!

The green salsa deserves its own spotlight. It added just the right amount of brightness and flavor, bringing the entire burrito together in the best way possible.

One thing I did notice was that a few of the dining tables hadn't been cleared while I was there. The staff appeared focused on preparing what looked like a high volume of pickup and delivery orders, so it's understandable how the dining room could briefly fall behind. A little more attention to the seating area would make the overall experience even stronger.

What impressed me most was how much flavor was packed into such a simple breakfast burrito. Sometimes less really is more, and EggBred OC proved exactly that. I'm already looking forward to coming back to explore more of the menu.
